Welcome to the House of Savoy Educational Program
Hello, everyone. I am Emanuele Filiberto of Savoy, Prince of Venice, and it is my pleasure to have this opportunity in Japan to provide you with an introduction to the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy.
Over the some 1,000 years that have transpired since their establishment, the Dynastic Orders of the Royal House of Savoy have been engaged in a range of charitable activities. Now, as a new undertaking in Japan, we have developed the House of Savoy Educational Program.
A program that boosts children’s self-esteem
Students in this program learn what it means to be a knight. In our intensely competitive modern world, it is extremely important that we learn how to cope and deal with challenges.
Being a knight means having self-confidence and pride. At the same time, it also means remembering to be considerate to others. It is crucial that you accomplish those things that are important to you as well as to humankind.
These are precisely the values that the House of Savoy has upheld throughout its over-1000 years in existence. Utilizing modern pedagogical methods, this program strives to impart these values and equip children with a stronger sense of self-esteem.
The Junior Knight Title
When you have completed this educational program, we will honor you with the title of Junior Knight as a gesture of our appreciation. You will then become a member of one of the world’s most prestigious chivalric orders.
This title should serve you well through the rest of your life.
As you enter adulthood and begin your working careers, you will likely be confronted by an array of social challenges together with heightened levels of competition. At those times, your values as knights will be certain to give you the strength you need to overcome adversity.
I want you to stand proud as knights, pursue your life dreams with conviction, and carry yourselves to a higher level.
